World War 1 Memorial

Five men from Coldharbour died serving their country in the First World War, including two brothers.

Private Horace John Longhurst and Company Quartermaster Sergeant William Sidney Longhurst, who both died in 1916. They were the sons of William and Amelia Longhurst of Rowemount/Wield View.

Private Arthur Lipscomb also died in 1916. He was the son of Arthur James and Sarah Lipscomb, landlords of the Plough Inn.

Private Frederick James Martin died in August 1918. The Martin family were also from Rowemount/Weald View.

Gunner Richard Ede also died in October 1918.
